Photographer Matt Molloy takes hundreds of photos and then meticulously stitches them together to create these brush stroke painted skies. Matt states that the reason he loves this type of photography so much is the experimenting, because you never know what you’re going to get in the end. That’s especially true with the sunsets, as the sky gets increasingly darker – but Matt says these timelapses seem to work very well. Check out his series Smeared Skies on his 500px.
